Chavez returns for Independence Day

Hugo Chavez made a surprise return to Venezuela to tell thousands of supporters that he will overcome his battle with cancer.

The president, who recently announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer and was being treated in Cuba, returned on Tuesday.

He said he could not miss the country's celebrations of its 200th year of independence from Spain.
