CHARMAINE SIMPSON - Feels Like Yesterday

I have turned a corner - finally!
Time seems so unacountable,
feels like yesterday - seems like a lifetime.
So much has unfolded,
which means i was moving?
although giving the impression of on pause -
like a scratched record.
Seemingly - somehow - so very slowly,
playing a destined track.
Like a treasured disc of vinyl -
life follows an already etched track -
that is played in the same familiar motion
as the circle called - life.
When we fight against what is destined,
the same tune will play over and over.
Although aware we write the script for our own destiny,
why do i feel as though i am walking a bumpy track blindfolded?
If i look behind - i can see clearly where i have travelled,
If i look ahead - i am unable to see the outcome of my next step.
