Description

The sun went down and so did the sound of war,
Marked with wounds and soaked in blood,
His eyes had see it all, had seen his fellow men fall.

On the horse born in Arabian he rode,
He rode in pain, barely able to hold the rein,
Through steep mountains and the river,
Through the winter breeze which made him shiver.
He rode and rode through the jungle roar;
And rested only for his horse

Fruits were his friends and water his companion,
He raced the wind, hoping to reach the king,
Before the evening breeze stopped to sing.
He rode through the woods that were dark,
And crossed the desert by walk.

With his head held high like a sword held in the Kalinga war,
He stood before the king with his heart filled with hopes of a reward,
“In the land where the spring rewards,
In the land where the birds sing their humble song,
In the land where I come from my lord,
Thousand heads went down; thousand swords were soaked in blood;
And here I tell you my king, my lord!
Victory as before “said he,
“Victory as before “said he..
