Charli xcx breaks the rules

At only 22 years old, one could think pop star and songwriter Charli xcx had found fame young.

But her success has been a long time coming.

Charli is now a seasoned hit maker having written and being featured on "Fancy" with rapper Iggy Azalea which held number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. for seven weeks, becoming a triple platinum seller.

This was followed by Charli's first major solo success, her single, "Boom Clap", which sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

Charli is now releasing her new single "Break The Rules" ahead of the release of her new album, "Sucker", in the new year.
