Charles M. Moore - You return to me
1 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
and feel you have no pain
you may hear songbirds singing
you may hear falling rain
you may hear gentle breezes
as they brush against the trees
I welcome you this morning
as you return to me
At times in your existence
you danced the road of wrath
you danced with lust and hate and greed
you danced the wicked path
you looked to gain salvation
in fortune and in fame
but wealth has no misgivings
in causing others pain
Achieving your ambitions
you sought a world of peace
you searched for some tranquility
from demons you released
from chains you bought to bind yourself
you now wish to be free
I welcome you this morning
as you return to me.
