It's funny how things work out
when you don't pay full attention
the whole world seems to turn around
without you being mentioned
you thought you'd always done enough
you thought you held the prize
with blinkers on, you carried on
well there's a big surprise

It's strange the way it hurts you
how it breaks you up inside
you worked away from day to day
you didn't see it slide
and your'e the one who feels the pain
as living turns to dust
while she was reaching out for love
you lost your grip on trust.
