Charles Hughes - Weed
5 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
Here respite, where I and my other self sometime choose to reside
Hail fellows not well met, my illicit companions too easily abide
Their bong absent of peal, imparts instead faint fragrant illusions
Its welcomed giddy solace that soothes that hides
Dallier dare dally too long, pent ghosts and goblins stir
Long hidden amongst the recesses and wisps
Intruding smoky shadows awaken unwanted disturbing delusions
Euphoria strained, yields, unable to stay the intrusions
Here where the light of day, obscured, fails to stride
Here where truth restrained at reality's distant door
Regrettably, can scarcely be heard to chide
