Brand ambassadors beware, the food regulator is watching!
In what comes as a shocker for celebrities, the standing committee on food and consumer affairs wants stringent punishment, including jail term for cricketers and film stars who endorse products with false claims. According to sources, the jail term for brand ambassadors could even go up to 10 years. In conversation with ET NOW, JC Divakar Reddy - chairman of the panel, said brand ambassadors need to be more responsible and they have to take the onus for misleading claims.
