Chandra Portell - Death March

The fallen angel walks alone,
For there is no-one to stand beside her.
The fallen angel walks dark paths,
For there is no-one there to guide her.
No sooner kissed by setting sun
Than her nightly prowl has begun.
Her quest is for gin, cards, and treasures
Scattered with a few steamy male pleasures.

But for her true happiness cannot be found.
She runs through the storm with narry a sound.
She falls to her knees and begs to be forgiven,
To be re-accepted into the promise land we call heaven.

Rain and thunder answer her pleas,
Stinging salt winds from the raging seas.
She stands again and looks at the path she knows so well;
The winding death march down the path to hell.
