At 29 I ended
Only to begin again
Swept yesterdays trials and tribulations under the mat at my doorstep
Not to be forgotten
Oh no, these are the core of my existence
For they never killed me, they made me stronger
I wouldn’t stand as tall if it weren’t for them
Each crocodile tear built me up
Not a one was wasted in vain
My soul cried out many a night

At 29 I ended
Only to begin again
The start of a new era for me
Yesterday is still there, yet its hold isn’t as strong
It gracefully let me go
My memoirs won’t let me forget
Today is the day I live for
Yesterday is long gone
Tomorrow may never come
My soul’s cries to be free were finally answered
….peacefully
