We wanted to scan something a bit different so we got in touch with Dmitri Zaitsev from Nuclear Snail Studio. Dmitri's studio is widely regarded as the leading independent manufacturer of post apocalyptic clothing and costumes.
Our aim with this was to capture and show only RAW scans, to see how far we could push the system without having to do any tiresome cleanup work. Everything show in this video is 100% RAW decimated scans and texture output.
To achieve the level of quality were looking for we partnered with a Capturing Reality. Their latest scanning software is really pushing the limits of what can be achieved with photogrammetry.
