CFTC Probes Oil Trades
Description
The CFTC is examining unusual oil futures trades made minutes before Trump announced a pause in attacks on Iran. Regulators are reviewing activity on CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange venues across at least two instances of volume spikes before key announcements. Trading records including Tag 50 identifiers have been requested to identify participants. S&P 500 futures rose and crude fell immediately after Trump's post.
