Everything's changing
It's feeling good
Coming alive
Like a tree in the wood
After the winter
Sleeping it through
Never once dreaming
I'd meet someone like you.

Thought life was over
Downhill from here
Never got started
Never in gear
Thought I was full-grown
I was but a seed
Just started growing
Now taking the lead.

Life's just beginning
Though mid-life is here
Just opened my eyes
And noticed you near
I was in darkness
Under the ground
Now my leaves are unfurling
A new life I've found.

A new day is dawning
The sunlight is bright
Waking me from my slumber
Renewing my sight
My mind is in wonder
The beauty of all
The future before me
I'm hearing it's call.

With music and poetry
Nature and art
I've found a new way
To open my heart
To the wonder of everything
The beauty of love
Down here on the earth
And with angels above.
