To drown in words
Is to be overridden with emotion,
Good or bad matters not.

To drown in music
Is to flood yourself
With the simple melody of your soul.

To drown in love
Is to trust someone so completely,
You open yourself up to their reassuring arms.

To drown in poetry
Is to fulfill an inspired dream,
One that tells of hopes and things to come.
Senses on overload,
Emotions on the page,
Revealing thoughts to the world.
