Centennial College Hospitality Services Program

Hospitality Services is a broad term used to describe a lot of different jobs that are available in the hospitality industry. Do you want to work in a fast-paced organization that needs happy, smiling people? Do you like working with your hands? Do you want to work in the "Front-of-the-house" dealing with customers or are you more comfortable working in the "Back-of-the-house"? Students who study in the Hospitality Services program like the variety of courses that are offered and the hands-on experience they gain that could potentially lead to jobs such as room attendant, front desk clerk, food service, cook or a job in the maintenance department of a hotel. The two days (Thursday and Friday) spent in a placement at a restaurant or hotel will give you the practical experience to complement the theory learned in class. Students also have the opportunity to take two certification exams in Sanitation and Beverage Services.
