Cecilia Parkin - The Shadows.

I trace the shadows on the wall,
My fingers making patterns tall.
The sun begins to dropp from sight
It will soon become the night! .

I close my eyes as darkness falls
And see a Prince handsome and tall,
He stands silhouetted 'gainst the wall.
Then he's gone, as with my hand
I trace the shadows.

He was so near, yet out of reach.
In slumberous state - what does it teach
us.When our dreams become alive,
Such a brief time to survive.
Upon waking, as I recall -
I trace the shadows.
