cecelia warner - Umbilical Cord and Mom

My nickname was 'umbilical cord'
because my mom and I were so tight.
Those who knew this woman
would understand why, this lady was dynamite!
She was an amazing person
with a heart of pure gold, although,
she would tell you off in a minute...she was just THAT bold!
Witty and cunning
was always her demeanor.
For those unfortunate enough
not to have known her, wish you could have seen her.
The nickname 'umbilical cord'
was givin to me as an insult,
with the intent to hurt
until I realized the blessing, as the result.
Inseperable is what we'll always be
through our virtual 'umbilical cord'.
Severing that umbilical cord
isn't something my heart can afford.
So thanks for the insult
turned inside out
because loving a precious mom
is what it's all about!
