CCTV shows dramatic van explosion in busy town centre

This is the terrifying moment a bungling workman ran for his life after his van exploded in a busy town centre. The blaze was sparked by a chemical reaction after the roofer mixed two substances together and left them in the back of the van. The incident, which was caught on CCTV from a nearby business, shows how the back of the van burst into flames before it was engulfed by fire. At one point, what looks like petrol can be seen pouring from the vehicle, which had been parked on Queen Street, in Blackpool, Lancs., on Monday.
