CBS to layoff interactive department employees
1 Views • Dec 12, 2008
Description
After acquiring San Francisco company, CNet in May for $1.8 billion, CBS says it will layoff some interactive department employees, but would not disclose the exact number.
Though the two will continue to produce separate websites, CNet and CBSNews.com will combine to form one group. The groups will share a newsroom and resources.
CBS said the cutbacks will also effect ZDNet, TV.com, and Last.fm.
