Caught In The Crossfire - from Darkness into Light

The ongoing conflicts of terrorism in Pakistan have been amply covered in newspapers and television throughout the world. We all know about the Taliban, the United States drone attacks, the Pakistan army. However, their joint impact on displaced children has rarely been discussed.

“Caught In the Crossfire: from Darkness into Light” presents the children in their own words, in their own setting. These children live in the Jalozai camp in northwest Pakistan near the Afghanistan border. The camp houses about 150,000 people living in tents during the hot summer and the cold winter. More than half are children. They don’t understand the politics that brought them to the camp, but as one observed, “They are losing their childhood.”
