Cathy Bellah - Pride

Our soldiers for decades have taken up arms,
to keep your Great Country safe from harm.
They have fought on land, air and sea,
so we might have security.
Patriotic, I guess it sounds,
to say "be proud of this American ground".
Let Old Glory wave and don't be afraid,
to salute her as she leads the parade.
There are those who would mock and burn.
What would they do for America
if they had their turn?
Stand up and be counted, Patriots, I say.
Be Proud! It's Independence Day.
