Cathryn Martin - A Better Place

Dreams are very special,
They light a spark inside,
That lets my imagination out,
So that it can run wild.

Through the forest where I fell,
As a little child,
Then on to the meadow where,
All the flowers and weeds grew wild.

The sandy beach on a foreign coast,
Where I learnt to swim,
The nasty teacher back at school,
Who said I was 'quite dim'.

Now my mind is resting,
It's no longer out to play,
I have to go to work now,
And while away the day.

Dreams of a better place,
Are what we all need,
To keep us strong through,
The roughness of this world.
