Cate Ashlee - ...A Joke...

It started when she came on board
That all would ask who’s in hold,
Such fragile heart in such evade
Afraid of heights, each edge’s a sword.

As days would pass, all were in tuned
Of who’s to come and who would not,
Spent of the words, she then would say
That young man there, if he then would.

She lived the words that she had said
Pretend each day she is to pose,
A make believe to keep all aboard
Forget the truth, as no one knows.

He gave her smiles and she smiled back
Each time he would, she thought inside,
A smile today and then again
Until the next, she then would say.

This time again, if he should come
She is to say what’s held inside,
And if such chance has come but then
A joke she’d find would be on her.
