Cassie Lee - Forgotten Kingdom

Wishing I was once again, that little girl with dreams,
the girl who ran a million miles, who longed for fantasies.

The girl who lost what she loved most,
her treasured freedom land.
Where she could run and never stop,
and fill her shoes with sand.

The girl who led a second life,
a life of hopes and dreams.
With stories of adventure,
and magic in the trees.

She had it all, that little girl.
A kingdom to herself,
but the government fought against her,
and signed it off to sell.

Years later I now realize,
I've lost apart of me.
I've lost my only home,
my kingdom by the sea.

What brakes my heart even more,
Is to see my cottage now,
for it stands an abandoned wreck-
a frightfull looking mound.
