cassandra rainbolt - A Deaf World

Peaple used to say I'd become a nobody.
They said I'd end up goin' to jail or diggin'
holes for stiff and cold bodies but I ignored 'em
if I keep goin' like a rain thats pourin' I might make it.
Give me the chance and I'll take it.

On the other side they say the grass is greaner.
They call me a dreamer, and in time that's exactly what I'll become
if people keep askin' if I'm fine, I, ll keep askin'
if they're dumb or if they're just blind.
Can't they see I'm in a bind and confined by my problems.
Everyone else is givin' me a hundred ways to solve em!
If it was as easy as you say, I'd do it. But I've already been through it.
If only you would take a second to feel my pain, you would understand
that sittin' in the stands ain't the same as playin' the game.

I can't take much more of this cause I'm goin' insane.
These thougts are like a hammer beatin' on my brain.
A headache like an earthquake. I'll keep screamin' the truth
till the earth shakes and you come awake
and see what you've done to it
We live in a world thats deaf. They can't hear me,
but I'll keep screamin' till theres nothin' left.
They won't listen to me, cause they're hidin' from reality.
I'm just makin' guesses but maybe this is what it feels like
to be a stone surrounded by glass houses.
Now that i'm thinkin' it through maybe nobody can hear me
cause they're screamin' too...
