Footage shared on Chinese social media has sparked outrage after it showed a carousel with real horses tied to metal pillars a zoo in eastern China. The Nantong Forest Wildlife Zoo in China’s eastern province of Jiangsu says the live carousel is legal, and an innovative amusement ride. But visitors have not been supportive, taking to social media to criticise the attraction as “weird and cruel”.
