Carolyn Brunelle - Devoted Weaver

Painstakingly, she handweaves grass
With bits of turquoise, river rocks, quartz;
An amazing artistry, a creation
Rich in color, texture; design.

Her life a similar tapestry,
Tending babies, minding the fire;
Cleaning pelts and taning hides
As provider of clothing and shelter.

When the night falls upon ‘this’ day
Her family, wrapped in warm furry love,
Will eat their freshly picked berries
From her beautifully made basket.
