Caroline Larner - Ode to a Flea

Oh Flea, oh Flea,
why do you pick on me?
You dive right in
jump on my my skin,
making me shout
by sucking blood out.
You leap on my couch,
causing me to say 'ouch'
you come back for more,
when I've scratched till I'm sore.
I can' t sleep at nights
from scratching your bites.
I see you hopping around,
not making a sound
a tiny wee beast
looking for a feast.
why don't you disappear
and leave me free and clear.
I've had enough of being a free lunch
find someone else to have a munch.
I tried to get rid of you using Doc Martins tool,
it did'nt work, the man is a fool.
So now I'm stuck with you dear Flea
till I pay my council a massive fee.
Oh Flea, oh Flea,
Why did you have to pick on me?
