Carole Davis - depth

I can see my reflection in a dark pool
Caressing my soul so much the fool
I loose my image in the shades of the water
Concealing my thoughts until later

I must reach inside and gather my soul
Rip out the memories forgotten and foul
Looking up from the pool to the bright sun
Experiencing new depth, life has just begun.
