I made a mistake,
trusting in you
not to hurt us again,
leaving me
bruised but not broken.

I made a mistake,
hoping that you
would change
when it all
just stays the same.

I made a mistake,
believing in you
and the lies you told,
breaking me down
like before.

I made a mistake,
leading you
to the same
battle ground
we fought before.

I made a mistake,
mine as much
as yours,
no winners,
just a mark to bare.

I made a mistake,
so did you
one of us cried
and the other lied,
me or you?
