Carla Michelle Ballard - Dream

To some a dream is waking
to a better tomorrow.
To others its to make it
through the day. As children we were taught
to have a dream,
To reach for a star
and hold on to it. But as the years go by
our dreams become,
Like a broken toy or a
forgotten idea. As we grow older
our dreams,
Go from the extraordinary
to just ordinary. No room for a dream now,
only work.
To some a dream is just,
to make it through this day.
