Description

I closed my eyes and took a long walk today
On the shores of paradise led the way
Strolling along my feet gently pressed the sand
Where each step was going, remained unplanned

With only a flourescent orange glow remaining before it set
the way the last bit of sun light danced across the water
I'll never forget
Only to give rise to the full moon's glow
As it pulled on the tides so did it my soul

I looked over my shoulder, the tides washed away each
footprint, and I began to cry
One footstep one memory, oh how the times fly
From the good times to the bad
Other moments I blessed, only to take a stroll to
remember what I had

Though the footsteps are now gone,
Doesn't mean they were never there
For they will always remain not going anywhere
but, for now I have to open my eyes and let go
Perhaps tomorrow once again
I'll close my eyes and toke another long stroll
