yet horrible

keeps together or tears you apart.
it's life or death.
and as i look at love long lost
i stand tall
broken and shattered
heart weathered
i pick up the pieces
of a broken heart
a heart shattered by rejection
humilliation
and defeat
i stand tall
tears streaming down my face
and i walk on.
