I gave you my heart
Right from the start
You had my trust
But you chose lust
People wanted me to listen
But to me you glistened
I chose to look beyond their comment
Because I had already made my judgement
I looked at you as crowning
Before I started drowning
I'm trying not to respond
Because I'm not sure if we will regain that bond
I'm young and nieve
To ever believe
You could be faithful
It only left me resentful
I guess this is part of growing up
Which has taught me to keep my guard up
I was never left second guessing
But now I feel like I will always be guessing
Were the words you spoke just a lie?
Will this happen again and just leave me to cry?
Can I count on you
To be true?
Now when you look at me
Unfaithfullness is all I can see
Trust will take years to regain
But only you are to blame
Because I gave you my all
Never Thinking you'd let me fall
You were the only one I wanted to kiss
You told me you loved me, but I don't think that 'love' exists
All this fun times come to a great blur
Wondering if you were just thinking of her
I'm slowly learning to move on
Because I can't stay if the trust is gone
I could never once process the words
you said to me without wiping a tear of my cheek
I couldn't even speak
I was just too weak
I'm wanting to leave
Because there's nothing left to believe
I wanted it to last
But now I'll put 'us' in the past
We can part our ways
And come across better days
I'll leave you with the memories
That will forever be
You'll always be in my heart
We've just grown apart
