Candace Johnson - Tragic Love
10 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
'Was I blind? ' or 'How could I not see you were already hurting me? '
But I didn't see
All I saw was I loved you...
And you said you loved me too
I saw the sunshine in your hair
And your beautiful laugh
And the way you smiled when you said 'I love you, '
I would squeeze your hnd and say 'I love you too, '
I was too caught up
In this 'love' to notice
All the things that were happening
You were turning me against my parents, my friends, and school
These things were once my life
But then you became my life
And then you realized
You didn't love me
Just after I promised you my life
I remember all the excuses you gave me
'Your not pretty enough, ' and 'Your too smart, '
Maybe it was the thought of how much I gave you that drove you away.
I don't know nor do I care
Yo would think I was happy to be rid of such a burden
But I was devestated
I gave you everything
And you hurt me
Things with my parents: friends: and school could never be the same
I hurt them almost as much as you hurt me
