Can we afford to explore Mzansi

It is Tourism Month in South Africa. The industry was hit hard by the coronavirus lockdown. To help the ailing sector, the country is inviting local tourists to explore its sights. But, many South Africans simply cannot afford to travel right now. The Bureau of Economic Research estimates if the country does not open its borders to international travel by the end of the year, over 1 million jobs will be lost.
