Can Induction Motor generating Electricity

Small generating project.
The Stator was from an old dryer motor
The generator alternator part is ex- VCR
12 / 240 Volts Transformator out of an adaptor
Power is supplied at 20 Volts AC 50 Hz to the prime mover.
Voltage is about 1.5 Volts stepped up to 15-18 Volts AC
and rectified to DC with a bridge rectifier and small Capacitor to drive the led's.
The motor runs at about 800 RPM, the alternator at about 650 RPM
