Holding on
To what I can see
Because you'll never be there
And I can't see you
I can't feel you
I can't love what's gone from me
Reminded of the past
Not wanting to believe
Or remember that pain
It wasn't real...
Tell myself you aren't real
You can't see me
And you'll never touch my heart

Put up walls around me
Walls you built
Walls I struggled to stand
I live with them
They are so horrible
I love them more
Than I ever loved you
I love them more
Than you will ever know
I don't hear your voice anymore
I'm not alone with you anymore
You don't feel me anymore
I'm not crawling anymore

Risen from the fall
I fell into your arms that day
I felt your eyes on me
I looked into green oceans
And swam in green seas
That day I left the ground
Much later I fell back down
I cracked my bones
I hurt my soul
My heart ripped in two
And now,
I love forever
But I love with an injured will
