Justincrdbl25 asked: "Can I Use one External Hard Drive For Mac & PC?"

OS X and Windows each have their own preferred native file format. For Windows, NTSC is a capable format that allows the operating system to read and write data quickly and reliably. OS X, on the other hand, is optimized to work with a hierarchal file system found in Apple's HFS+.

When it comes to external drives, there are several file system options you can format the drive to in order to utilize it on both operating systems, including FAT32. In addition, you can tweak each OS to read and write to the other's preferred format.
