Camping Insights: Checking your LP system for leaks

hey its mason, the camping enthusiast here. I love camping with my family every chance I get. We go to RV parks and campgrounds throughout the country as often as we can.
We just got back from an excellent weekend out camping in St. Louis, Missouri, and I learned a valuable thing that I want to share with you. We ran out of Liquid Propane in one of our LP tanks, and thankfully the campground we were at had a Propane refill station there on site. So we had it refilled, and when the campground operator brought it back to us, he used a leak detector spray to make sure the propane tank was not leaking.
Why is this important you ask, well, low and behold, our tank was not leaking, but one of the hoses going to the propane regulator was leaking. Had he not checked it, we would have just wasted that money, and more importantly, we would have been putting ourselves and our neighbors in a bad situation.
So next time you get your propane tanks filled, make sure to ask the Campground operator if they have the proper Propane leak detector solution and to check your hoses, and the regulator for leaks.
