I am bleeding.
I feel as if someone has taken a knife
From my throat to my belly,
Sliced me open and ripped all my insides out.

I am choking.
I feel like someone has used their hands,
Wrapped them around my neck,
Forcing any kind of life I had out of me.

I am hurting.
I feel like someone has got their legs
Trodden on my heart,
Crushing any feeling of happiness I once had.

I am hoping.
I pray my heavenly father has got his arms
Spread out open,
Waiting for me to take refuge.
