Cameroon, Bafut: Bednet distributions

All children under 5 in the 9 health areas of Bafut health district will be protected as a result of this distribution. In total, 60 multicultural communities will benefit. The nine health districts are: Akofunguba, Buwe-Bukari, Mambu, Manji, Mankanikong, Mbakong, Mforya, Mundum and Nsem. The Bafut area, 20kms northeast of the provincial capital of Bamenda, is a high risk malaria area with year-round transmission. A recent study reported a malaria morbidity (illness) rate amongst under 5's of 54%.
