Call for decrease in UN force in Haiti
14 Views • Aug 22, 2012
Description
It comes amid widespread anger across quake-ravaged Haiti, over allegations of sexual assault of a man by UN peacekeepers from Uruguay.
Brought in to maintain peace, the UN soldiers have often been accused of using too much force over the years.
Haitians, who have suffered decades of severe poverty and political instability, see the UN soldiers as outsiders.
Al Jazeera's Ross Velton reports from Port-au-Prince.
