C.J. Heck - Waiting (Children)

Waiting is a funny word.
It really puzzles me.
If you wait for something really good
it takes forever, don't you see?

Like Christmas or your birthday
you can hardly wait at all
as you mark the days and weeks off
on the calendar on the wall.

But if it's something you don't like
and you don't want to do ~~
the waiting goes so doggone fast
it just sneaks up on you!
