C.H. Seow - Between Peace and War

Upon the cheers and laughter
On this fine and rich land,
We sometimes do hear
Devastating cries,
Unattained words,
Desperate callings…

Countless souls were forced
To hide, to starve,
To Suffer!

It’s gone…just like that…
Nothing else left…
Yet,
Prayers turned to vain;
Lives were swept away
Like hurricanes that come by,
Comprehend none.

Haven’t angels been with them?
Haven’t those people out there,
Weapons in mind,
Care about them?
Not at all…
Due to those
So called ‘unresolved matters’,
They chose hell,
Resulting in fury and fear
towards the nations…

Bring all these foolish acts to a halt,
Thou shall not surrender to the demon that controls,
Thus making God your best companion,
And peace as an antidote to the mind of disorder
For every God’s creation,
deserved to be treasured…
