C.E. Kane - Deus ex machina

The ghost truly lives in this machine.
I am startled by its presence daily.

I walked to the end of the world today
And all I found was a sleeping stone.
I threw it back to God
and asked him to wake it up.

Collecting skulls will keep the universe
enthralled.

The dark paint on cave-walls
believes in my futility.

What Crow knows is more than I can
ever say.

Crying to the moon?
Perhaps I am just in love.

I will transcend time and space
before death slaughters my nuclei.

Hope with me, mankind,
that only we might develop night-vision.

Hovering souls and whispering ghosts
gather around my knuckles and ears.

I see the world.
I can see it move through space.
