Burundi set for one-name vote
3 Views • Apr 14, 2012
Description
Normally the poll would be praised by the international community. However, there is one problem: the vote ballot consists of just one name.
The incumbent president, Pierre Nku-run-ziza, is the only candidate after six opposition candidates all decided to boycott the poll, alleging fraud in earlier local elections.
Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports from Bujumbura, Burundi's capital.
