Burkina Faso: ALEPA or excellence in corn processing
3 Views • May 14, 2019
Description
Euloge founded his company, ALEPA, in 2007 when he was still a student. At the beginning he was just buying and selling the corn. But later, he realised that he was losing an opportunity by not processing the corn. Processing would add value to the product, and also create more jobs, which is his objective. He then ventured into corn processing and it worked well. However, he was not able to meet the demand of the market. Through the support from the Danish project PCESA, he was able to scale up his business and increase his production capacity.
“ALEPA has a lot of future because I have already prepared young people who will take my place and I think they are better equipped than me,” says Euloge.
This video was produced with financial support from the Economic Growth Program in the Agricultural Sector (PCESA).
