More than a day after a massive earthquake hit eastern Turkey rescue workers are still finding the living.
At least 279 people are known to have died as a result of the 7.2 magnitude quake so far, with more than 1,000 injured.
As night fell, rescue teams free a man, thought to be in the his 30s, from underneath a pile of rubble
They also pull a woman from rubble as thousands of quake victims prepared to spend the night in makeshift tents.
Many people are still stuck under the rubble of collapsed buildings and authorities expect the death toll to rise.
Rescue efforts have been hampered by power outages after the quake toppled electricity cables to towns and villages.
The Red Crescent said about 100 experts have reached the earthquake zone to coordinate rescue and relief operations.
