ISLAMABAD: The 141st birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated with national zeal throughout the country today.
The national flag was hoisted at top of all public and private buildings on this public holiday. The day dawned with the recitation of the Holy Quran at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi.
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday called on coordinated efforts to make Pakistan as the nation envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Bilawal visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam and laid a floral wreath and offered fateha. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other cabinet members were also present on the occasion.

MOSCOW: A Russian military plane crashed Sunday in the Black Sea as it made its way to Syria with 91 people onboard, including musicians heading to celebrate the New Year with troops.
Local news agencies, citing the defence ministry, said the Tu-154 plane had crashed shortly after taking off from the southern city of Adler, south of the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, at 5:40 am local time (0240 GMT).
